Event Trade Shows, Part II

This week we will continue our list of the top trade shows for event professionals from vendors to producers. Most of the most well known and popular trade shows were covered in Part I, but we are rounding it out with a few more you might not be as familiar with in Part II.

Praised as offering “phenomenal content,” MPI WEC23 is best known for its educational strength and variety. Serving the entirety of the event industry, MPI’s trade show is an extension of their online educational portal which offers courses in everything from contracts and negotiations to marketing strategy to meeting management. They also offer a three day Event Design Certificate Program where attendees learn the ten step visual approach to event design and how to use Event Canvas methodology.

VenueConnect is tailored to professionals who produce events in larger arenas like fairgrounds, stadiums, convention centers, and performing arts centers. The goal of their sessions is to impart knowledge on how to reduce expenses, increase sustainability and safety, and learn about trends.

Teams ’23 Conference & Expo is exclusively devoted to sporting events and I the home of the US Olympic and Paralympic Sportslink. With the goal of helping organizers run their events more smoothly, Teams offers educational sessions, networking opportunities, one-on-one sessions, and an exhibitor floor with many hotels, sports marketing agencies and sports commissions to help pull your event off with plenty of community support.

IMEX America will bring you back to Vegas for three days of the largest trade show for the business events industry. Focused exclusively on corporate meetings, gatherings related to business-related activities such as meeting clients and selling services. Of course it kicks off with a golf tournament and includes a 5k fun run through Las Vegas.

Expo! Expo! is a balance of exploring event technology and discussing the importance of talent and soft skills with more practical information on legal best practices and sales solutions. You can clock up to 8.5 hours towards your CEM or attend breakfasts or meetings tailored to your more specific event type needs.

In our third and final post on trade shows, we’ll dive into how to approach attending trade shows to get the best benefit out of them. Should you go to all the panels? Should you do one-on-one meetings? Is it worth it to have a booth on the exhibitor room floor?
